Islamic Worship: Workshop 9I

Muslims use the Koran to provide the knowledge and understandingof Allah they need. The real base to Islamic beliefs is the Koran. The Koran has 114 suras (chapters). The suras contain poetry, warnings, instructions, history, and prayers.

Muslims believe that the Koran was sent by Allah to guide them to Paradise. Muslims also believe that anyone can become a Muslim; the noblest of people are the ones who have the best relationship with Allah.
The Koran
Muslims do not believe that Muhammad wrote the Koran; they believe that Allah told him the Koran through Gabriel.

Muslims believe that since the Koran was written in Arabic, it should be read in Arabic. The belief that people should be educated so they can read the Koran. Some Muslims are patient enough to memorize the entire Koran. They then teach it to others in the religion.
